सतपंथ के स्थापक पीर सदरुद्दीन और उनके पौत्र सैयद इमामशाह (उर्फ इमामशाह महाराज) ने भारत में इस्लाम का प्रचार प्रसार करने के अपने कार्य को आसान बनाने के लिए, हिन्दू धर्म के श्रीमद भागवत दसावतार ग्रंथ में मिलावट कर भ्रष्ट किया।

इसमें चाल यह थी की हिन्दू देवी-देवताओं के मुख से इस्लाम का छुपा प्रचार करवाया और हिन्दू धर्म के मूल्य और आदर्शों की उपेक्षा कर उन्हें हल्का अथवा तो गौण बताया गया।

परिणाम यह आया की हिन्दू अपने देवी-देवताओं के मुख से हुए इस प्रचार के शिकार बन गए और अपने पूर्वजों और महान ऋषियों के द्वारा परंपरा में मिले हिन्दू मूल्यों, आदर्शों और रीति रिवाज में शर्म अनुभव करने लगे। इससे उनमें हिन्दू धर्म के प्रति हीनता की भावना निर्माण हुई। धीरे-धीरे जो लोग इस्लाम की तरफ देखते भी नहीं थे वह अब इस्लाम की ओर आकर्षित होने लगे। यह इसलिए...
