Hello,

I have a project on a Reality system.  I need to find out how they drive their menus.

However, I cannot find out where the source code is located and of course the client does not know.

Normally, I would look at the MD and it would be inside the record.  However, on a reality system I don't see anything like that.

Could someone please steer me in the right direction?

Thanks

Hi Eugene,
If you don't find a Proc with the same name as the account, depending on the release of Reality, you may also want to check the user definition on the SYSMAN account via utility program SSM. Field 8 of the user definition can be used to indicate a logon proc for that user.
Regards,
Bob

Good suggestions to start with the logon PROC, You may be able to determine the name of the program running etc. -- in general, though most programs under Reality are "Compiled" into roughly machine code and the "Source" code usually isn't delivered by the developer -- unless this is a home grown system or you have some other expectation that the source code should be available.

I have actually found the source code.  However, my probem is (and you will love it) that there are multiple copies of the program.

WHICH on is the one being run in the account.  It could be one of 3.

In most systems, I would look at the md for progname and it would point me to the source code file.  I could then go change the right program.
