Hi,

(Let me start by saying I know almost nothing about Reality so my question may well be stupid)

I have a series of files within a Reality DB. Some of the files appear to be links to ODBC databases, e.g. I have a file called PEOPLE and if I have type LIST PEOPLE it appears to list information from a linked ODBC datasource.

Similarly, if I run a FIND search, I get some ODBC errors on some files (where files are pointing at old / redundant ODBC datasources).

How do I see exactly where a file is pointing? The documentation mentions FDB-SHOW but that says no foreign databases are active.

Ideally, I'd like to know which files are ODBC files and what table / views they are linked to. I'd also like to know which files are links to files on the host file system.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

D

Hi

Take a look at the verb LISTFILES this will show you the DSN (in the MOD column) and the Details column will show you the table name

Hope this helps

Thanks, that worked great.

I've noticed that if a data source name has a space in it, the table name is not listed in LISTFILES (you just get the first part of the DSN).

Is there anyway around that?

Thanks,
D
