REQUIREMENTS:
Title: Java Developer
Location: Elkton, MD
Working Days: Monday thru Friday, with the potential need for weekend work during release weekends.
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Open for All - US Citizens / Green Card holders
Rate: Open
Primary Responsibilities:
· Coordinates with project teams and business analysts to translate detailed specifications into
Working code.
· Participates in the design, configuration, development, and implementation of test and production
code.
· Leverages breadth and depth of IT solutions knowledge to serve as a technical strategist with
respect to Identity and Security solutions.
· Provides recommendations for enhancements and changes that may involve custom design,
Optional and third party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of application
System.
· Demonstrates advanced expertise in Java for system analysis techniques in support of software
development, deployment, debugging, and timely issue resolution.
· Actively participates in team projects including internal system projects and new global
integrations.
· Performs routine preventive maintenance and driver patching for software products.
· Follows IT change and release management processes (ITIL).
· Ongoing maintenance of the products including keeping abreast of current and future releases, fix
and patch levels, and compatibility of different component versions.
· Identifies and resolves production-related identity issues.
Required Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related business area or equivalent work
experience is required.
· 5+ years experience with Java programming and J2EE technologies.
· Thorough knowledge of the implementation integration and management of Apache Web Server
and JBOSS products.
· Understand and program secure software practices among various software architectures.
· Ability to communicate technical solutions to a broad group including a non-IT audience.
· Ability to work with multiple teams and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
· Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and tasks.
· Strong QA/testing skills (scripting/execution/documentation).
· Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with NetIQ Identity Manager Solution or other Identity Management solutions.
· Experience with LDAP authentication configurations.
· Knowledge of Unix/Linux shell scripting
