Dear fellow Toastmasters,

Thank you for your kind accolades. I would like to congratulate Liza
ALip CTM ( AG 2007-2008) for a great achievement! My heartiest wishes
also goes out to Division Governor E T Lee DTM, who had achieved his
SECOND President's Distinguised Division award! His indomitable spirit
and untiring efforts in working till the last moment to ensure
everything was in place is admirable.

Grand Banks Toastmasters Club's charter was the result of the efforts
of many Toastmasters. The initial contact was made after a
recommendation from Marianna Pascal CC. The follow-up and subsequent
discussions by Mohd Awee ACS and E T Lee DTM. The first demo meeting
assisted by President Diana CTM, IPP Jason Kum ACB, IPP Teresa Yeo
ATMB, Mohd Awee ACS, AG Cindy Wong, AG Michael Chu, President R S
Kee,E T Lee DTM, Fung Lee Jean ATMS and I. The great spirit of
Toastmasters camaraderie must have overwhelmed our host, who knew we
were serious in our endeavour to build new clubs.
The club officers training and first regular meeting was immediately
organized and was similarly reciprocated with the assistance of Nash
Bhullar ATMB. This spurred the club to organized itself for future
meetings.
I urge fellow Toastmasters to keep your eyes, ears and mind open for
every opportunity to share the Toastmasters programme with whoever you
meet.
If anyone is keen and interested to start and club, contact your club
President or your Area Governor to begin the process. You may be the
catalyst we need to start a new club. Just plant the Toastmasters seed
daily!
