WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO SUCCESS?

There isn't any situation so hard that if you chipped away at it long enough you couldn't create a monument. Monuments are usually created out of hard situations.

My family and I were on vacation several years ago when we visited Mt. Rushmore. I had never seen the famous faces. As we approached the site, I saw the faces through the tall towering trees. There they were -- strong, beautiful and mammoth. Someone had chipped away long enough in the hard granite to create this soul-moving experience. Below the magnificent faces were the chips, millions of them. It occurred to me, "this is the secret of success." "Keep chipping away at your granite until you produce your project." But before you can create a monument, you must make use of three steps of success:

VISUALIZE yourself in the completed project. What can you see? Nehemiah wanted to rebuild the old walls around Jerusalem. Surrounded by rubbish Nehemiah could visualize strong walls. In fact, his enemies asked the question, "Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish?" See yourself in the completed project.

VERBALIZE your objective to yourself. You will be surrounded by doubt and negative attitudes daily as you seek to unfold your life's ambition. Through "verbalization" you will establish in your mind the object you really want. Jesus said, "Say to this mountain, be thou removed...." The next time you are tempted to speak words of defeat, remember, you will create the thing spoken. God spoke worlds into existence!

VITALIZE your vision. Practice daily the law of seizing it. Action breaks indecision. Assume the position and action you would if the desired project had already been completed. Everything you need to know and do will come to you.

The steps to success are: See yourself, say to yourself each day what your idea of being a success is, and act your way to success. Remember, we are made whole in Jesus Christ. It is in Him we are free to fulfill the great plan God had for our lives. Carry them out with prayer and dedication.
