What Makes Easter Special?
Life vs. Death. Hope vs. Hopelessness. The 16-year-old student Jeff Weise entered the school and shot and killed a security guard and then continued shooting other students and one teacher. Terri Schiavo's family waits for the legal system to run its course to determine life or death. Easter is all about one man's death making it possible for others to have the hope of eternal life. This week I want to share some quotes about Easter, then encourage you to attend church this weekend. Also, give you an invitation to worship with us this Sunday at the Oak Tree Church.
Tomb, thou shalt not hold him longer;
Death is strong, but life is stronger;
Stronger than the dark, the light;
Stronger than the wrong, the right;
Faith and hope triumphant say,
Christ will rise on Easter Day.
