Hey guys - Some friends and I are developing an on-demand volunteering app that connects volunteers with chronically ill patients who need help with daily tasks. We are competing with this idea on Wednesday, and need to get a sense of demand - can you send this out to all your local networks that might be interested in this? We are trying to get a gauge by then by having people sign up online. Thank you!

Is it difficult to find time to volunteer?
Sign up for an app that lets you volunteer “on-demand.”

Search for opportunities nearby.
Connect with the chronically ill and disabled who need your help.
Find organizations where you like to serve.
All on YOUR time.

Interested? Sign up here: http://goo.gl/forms/0EU8xTRXlp

We are launching a volunteering app - Sam - that helps you volunteer with your community while managing your time.
Its the new Uber for volunteering. Log in when you have time and find immediate opportunities near you, or sign up to follow certain organizations that will alert you when they need your help.

What’s new?
1.   Find places near you, when you are free. You can schedule ahead, but you don’t have to.
2.   Chronically ill and disabled patients in your neighborhood who need help with daily tasks (your favorite non profits are also in the app).

Awesome Idea.

A possible group to reach out to would be VNAs (visiting nurse associations) and also Hospice Agencies.  You can basically search online with town names, ex. "Boston + VNA" or "Boston + Hospice."  You could cold call these organizations and see if there is an opportunity to form some type of partnership.  I especially think Hospice agencies would be interested in this.  A great organization to also call would be the "Commonwealth Care Alliance"

Very cool and best of luck with this!  Keep us all updated.
