Dear friend,

This is our moment.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is actively writing rules that could expand access to clean, community-based energy and we have a chance to influence what those rules look like.

On Sunday, February 22, we’re gathering for the “People’s Hearing on Distributed Energy Resources” on Affordable, Clean Energy and we need you in the room.

Electric rates have already increased more than 30% in recent years. Climate impacts are accelerating. Corporations are shaping decisions that affect all of us - and leaving us to foot the bill. Many of our neighbors are already feeling the effects of the affordability crisis, and no one should fear displacement due to not being able to afford a utility bill.

Which is why we’re speaking up. If you're not there, they’ll make decisions that affect us, without our input.

At this hearing, you’ll hear from experts, share your story and values, and help shape the public comments we’ll submit to the Public Utility Commission!

This is about building an energy system that works for people, not just corporations. A system granting us affordable utility bills, and a surplus of reliable and clean energy.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of it.

Register now and join us on February 22.

In solidarity,
POWER Interfaith Climate Justice and Jobs Team
