Subject: DEADLINE APPROACHING: Register now to join us in Harrisburg!

Join us for Environmental Lobby Day in Harrisburg on May 4!
Conservation Voters of PA

Hi William —

If your electric bill has felt unpredictable lately, you’re not alone — and it’s not an accident.

Right now, key decisions in Harrisburg are shaping how much we all pay for energy — and whether Pennsylvania invests in affordable, reliable clean power or stays stuck with rising costs.

Too often, those decisions are made without enough public pressure. That’s where you come in.

The deadline to sign up for Environmental Lobby Day is this Friday, April 15 — and spots are filling up.

Join us on Monday, May 4 to tell your lawmakers that Pennsylvanians need relief from rising energy costs and real action on clean, affordable power.

When constituents show up in person, it changes the conversation. It puts real stories behind the data — and makes it much harder for lawmakers to ignore what’s happening to the people they represent.

At Lobby Day, we’ll be talking with lawmakers about:

  • Holding utilities accountable and making sure decisions about rates and infrastructure actually protect the public
  • Lowering energy costs by accelerating clean, affordable power like solar and wind
  • Strengthening oversight of emerging energy demands — like data centers — so they don’t drive up bills for everyone else
  • Creating jobs and boosting Pennsylvania’s economy through clean manufacturing and energy innovation
  • Expanding tools for communities to better manage flooding and stormwater as extreme weather gets worse
  • Ensuring safe, responsible standards for industrial practices that impact our water and environment

You don’t need to be an expert — we’ll provide training, talking points, and support every step of the way. If you carpool with friends, neighbors, or local advocates, we’ll reimburse your travel costs, too.

Pennsylvania is falling behind on clean, affordable energy while utility companies push for more rate hikes and delay the transition to cheaper sources like solar and wind. The result? Higher electricity bills for all of us.

It doesn’t have to be this way — but change only happens when people speak up.

Don’t wait! The deadline to register is this Friday.

Either way, make sure your voice is part of what happens next.

Thank you for all you do,

P.S. If you can’t make it to Harrisburg, there’s still a critical role you can play: share your story about your electric bill.

We’re collecting real stories from across Pennsylvania to show lawmakers exactly what’s at stake — and to build the pressure needed to pass our Energy Affordability Agenda.

  • Have your costs gone up even when your usage hasn’t?
  • Had to cut back elsewhere just to keep up?
  • Feeling like you’re paying more while utilities and their CEOs profit?
