Calling all clean energy and solar advocates,

What does it take to move a community energy project from idea to action? Join us on Wednesday, June 24, at 12:00 PM ET for a free webinar on the tools and programs helping Pennsylvania communities plan their energy future.

We will open with Chris Nafe of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, who will share a brief overview of DEP’s Community Energy Development (CED) program — a state initiative that helps local governments develop actionable energy transition plans, pursue community energy aggregation, and build locally based renewable generation — and the potential for future offerings of the program.

Then the team at ProtoGen, the technical consultant supporting the CED program, will demonstrate GridNav, an easy-to-use energy modeling platform for exploring, scoping, and financially modeling community energy projects. Everyone who attends will receive free access to GridNav through December 31, 2026.

Our goal is simple: equip volunteers with the tools to help their communities identify and organize energy projects. Projects scoped now can be well-positioned for advancement through the CED program or other state and federal opportunities as they become available.

Agenda

  • Welcome and introductions
  • PA DEP Community Energy Development program overview — Chris Nafe, PADEP
  • Live GridNav demo and how to get your free access — ProtoGen
  • How volunteers can put GridNav to work in their communities
  • Q&A

Please register at https://bit.ly/ProtoGenSolar0624 to reserve your spot. We hope you will join us and bring your questions.
