Two days ago one of my friends Emmanuel Agwu came to my office with a prayer request, which was for God to promote him in his work place this year. When we prayed together, I asked God for double promotion for him; which was the only time I heard amen.. After praying I asked him, what if God appears to you now and asks you “What would you do for me?”, what will be your answer. Emma said to me, “God is the one who owns me; I will do whatever he wants me to do”. I felt that was amazing and I asked him, "should we pray right now and promise Him that you will do whatever He wants you to do?". At that point he paused, chuckled and said “let me think about it”.
The Navigators Lekki has about 35 young men and women from different works of life that are under our spiritual care. One of them EK, runs a brothel and a school in Lekki. Come 19th of March 2016 we would be organising our first Day Conference for these people, theme "Living out the Gospel in Busy Lagos".
By the grace of God, our desire is to
- Clarify the gospel to the participants as simple as possible and trust God that some of them will make a commitment to Christ.
- Show the participants how they can take personal responsibilities for their spiritual growth despite busy schedules and life pressure
