Ride Report. - Sunday 9 November

Where to take a ride on Remembrance Sunday? I was offered help by Jeanette who suggested a trip to Goring who had put on an excellent poppy display together with silhouette images. So it was that Simon H, Brian M, Mark J & YT gathered for the off at 11.

Our route was the usual exit through quiet roads to join the Woodcote Road before the turn to Going Heath, Long Toll, Catsbrain, left at the crossroad to Goring with the pig farm on our left. Brian had peeled off for home after the descent of Catsbrain - no need to pedal down, unlike my last visit. Goring residents are to be congratulated on their effort for Remembrance. Thank you! It was well received.

Coffee was taken at Viv’s before we made our way back via Cleeve, Evendons, Woodcote, Checkendon & Kidmore End.

A 25 mile round trip from Christchurch Bridge. Thanks to all for turning up particularly Mark whom I sensed may join our group again.
