Ride Report - Saturday 20 September

I wasn’t expecting a big turnout today as the weather forecast had looked to be somewhere between dire & unpredictable. Shortly before our departure from Beech Hill the expected 5 became a 3. Both late cancellations being weather related. So it was that I was joined by Jeffrey & Eve. My idea for a route had changed many times in the planning including alternative stops & on-route alteration should the heavens open. As it happened we were delayed by a p-chanical shortly before reaching Calleva. The rain held off until we reached the Dragonfly (Popley). After the downpour the sun shone but we were soon treated to a tolerable shower until reaching Bramley. Cutting short the route plan we returned to Beech Hill before 5pm having covered 28 miles. Thank you Eve & Jeffery, for your company & the diverse conversations at the hospitable Dragonfly.
Next weekend Tim will be leading a ride from Theale on Saturday afternoon & Clive will be leading (also from Theale) on Sunday Morning. Please see calendar for further detail.
