Hi Everyone,
Third meeting of Distributed Paper Stacks will be on CRDTs(Conflict-free Replicated Data Types). Our discussions will be primarily based on the
landmark paper by Shapiro et al., we will also go over various demonstrations of CRDTs, and slide our discussions into how CRDTs are used in practice with examples such as Excalidraw, Figma, and Zed Code Editor. I will post my annotated notes a couple of days before the meeting, hopefully accompanied by some demo code you can play around with.
The discussion section of the meeting will take place between 19.00-20.15 on 26th of June, with an additional 30 minutes at the end where we will host Conrad Irwin from Zed Code Editor to discuss the practical aspects of CRDTs and ask him our questions.
I hope to see you all there!
Best regards,
Alperen
