Hi all,

Have just put my email in for a tour and have an almost 100% inkling I will be joining the ranks but in the mean-time would love to know I can reach out to to discuss a project I'd like to work on involving metal-work/lathe work?

I understand I haven't gone into any detail about the project as it's a lot to type out here but a point in the right direction would be extremely helpful!

Thanks,

Best wishes,

-A

Not sure you are projecting this to get the best response from the community. You have a project, but so do all the other members, and they are very busy on those.
By not explaining your project you are not attractive to community input. Other member will always help, but have many priortities.
Excite members to support you, and ask the help that other members can support in easy chunks.
Tough audience , but high value return if you pitch it right.

Hi Richard,

I apologise, I think my inital message was completely misunderstood. I wrote the above in the hope that someone could pass on the contact information of the person who runs the inductions or maintains the lathe so I could email them about my project and see if it is at all fesiable before wasting anyone in the communities time.

I completely understand that everyone has their own individual projects and time is very precious but in my message above I was attempting to stay short on details as not to waste anyone else's energy or time coming up with solutions to a problem that might not actually exist (should the project not be possible a r/Lab.) However, I completely understand I didn't phrase my request correct so I apologise again and thank you for the advice, I'll bear it in mind should I post about any project in the future!

Best wishes,

Alessandro
