The small angle grinder seems to be broken, it turned on for less than a second then cut out. I've tried different fuses in the plug, but that's about my angle grinder repair knowledge :)

Perhaps someone can take a look?

OK I've opened this up and located the fault, the commutator on the
motor has come apart, looks like from over-heating (see attached pic).
Does anyone have the recipt for this? can we return it under warantee?
if not shall I just buy a new once since it's one of the more heavily
used powertools, an exact replacement can be had for about £50?

It's on the side under where the hammer are on the wall, I've labeled it
up as faulty and it's got all the acessories in the box apart from
whatever grinding discs it came with.

I have bought a cheap Wickes grinder - it will be good to have more than one anyway.

The Makita grinder is being returned to the manufacturers under warranty and will be replaced in the fullness of time.

The Makita grinder has been repaired under warranty and is back in its place in the space.
