Hi Folks,

TLDR; Electronics Evening in the lab tomorrow (Tuesday 28 Jun) - very informal, turn up if/when you like.  I will aim to be there from 7pm.

Read on if you are interested...

I am trying to build our rLab electronics community.  If you are interested in electronics and are an expert, or just starting out you may want to be part of the community.  I have a mailing list, if you want to be on it please email me directly and I will add you.  It's not high volume - at the moment just reminders for the evenings, but may morph as the community develops.

I have scheduled 2 evenings a month where the community can aim to be in the lab together.  There are not organized events going on (may happen in the future), but the aim is to get people with a similar interest in the same place at the same time so we can "Talk to each other"!  We also want to improve the electronics capabilities in the lab - Last month we sorted out the components we hold so that we stand a chance of finding them when we need them!

If you are an expert you can be around to provide advice and share tips with others.  Sometimes it's nice to be able to talk to people about your passion without them glazing over after 10 seconds.  If you are a beginner you can come along and pick peoples brains - even if it is just "Where do I start?"

The evenings are the second Thursday and fourth Tuesday of each month.  They are on the rLab calendar https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/embed?src=readinghackspace.org.uk_f...@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=Europe/London and I will send reminders to the electronics mailing list.

Hope to see some of you at these evenings!

Vance

I'm happy to throw in my 2p worth, but not sure how often I can turn up. Been designing just about anything for  the last 30 years. Not an "expert" at anything though!
