Has anyone got the software, time and inclination to open this file (the Intel Edison Arduino shield board) for me:

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24514/eng/H49904_002_R02.brd.zip

I think it is an Allegro.brd file...

I want to know the overall board dimensions and the mounting hole centre locations so I can design a case or mounting for it.

I know there are free viewers for .brd files but they seem to want information from me to download them, so I just wanted to see if anyone had one already.

Thanks.

i think eagle PCB uses .brd for it's board layout files. It is free to install and play with (with limits).

I can't open it with Eagle 7.2 (windows). It says:

Error:

line 1, column 1: Start tag expected.

Thanks for the tip and trying guys.

Looks like the file is corrupt then. Will have to wait until I get the board and get the ruler out!

If it is not eagle or kicad, it might be Cadence Allegro as you first said.
I think there is a free viewer available for download
