Hey All,

I'm sure you've noticed we have a bunch of computer bits laying around the place, I'd like to get some up and running, and need to have a working flatscreen monitor to do so. Are there any that might be up for donation? Don't care what size or resolution, (just preferably not TV's with VGA ports!), they just need to work :)

I can loan the space one for a bit as I don't have a machine to go
with it anymore. I'll bring it with me tomorrow.

Can give you one of these, it's untested but should work, it must have been kept for a reason.

Needs a 12v PSU though.

Are those two flat screen monitors under the stairs not use-able??? if not the they should be on the dump list.

Looked at those before. One of them just needs the cable fixing the blue wire is broken. The other one has a broken backlight i think

So, is the blue wire solderable or not????, is the screen with no backlight useable in natural light environmental??? otherwise, I guess, they are eligible for  the first entries in "dump list"

soldering a new VGA cable is very do-able, but the backlight broken is more of a dump list as there is no easy spare part solution.

all depends how much anyone can be bothered, they are only worth twenty quid at most, but surely replacing a cable is more about saving parts from landfill than saving money

They will be added to the WedOrDead Sort Out then, as noted in another thread. :)
