MiB,

The FIFA futsal rules look pretty good. This game is played
throughout the world and is designed to improve 11v11 soccer skills,
particularly improvisation and attacking formations. The 4+1v4+1
format also engages all players all the time.

full Laws of the Game are here <http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/
affederation/generic/51/44/50/spielregelnfutsal_2010_11_e.pdf>

I put some links to interesting info on the site here
<https://sites.google.com/site/readingadultsoccer/links-to-coaching-
resources>

some highlights:
pitch size American high school

out of bounds on goal lines keeper throws in within 4 seconds
ball #4, low-bounce

substitutions done on the fly from defensive
end
periods (2) 20 minute halves

motion starts play
goal size 9' wide x 6' high

And, here is the kicker--there is a local league and tournament that
both adults and the kids can play in. Check out <http://
www.futsalma.com/>. It looks like we can still get in, albeit late.
It's (7) games on Sundays. Any interest?

Regards,

Brian
