Indoor Soccer Sign-Ups Open

Men in Boots,

The indoor soccer sign-up is now open. The sign-ups close 10/2/2010
or when we are "full."

The season will be 11/7 through 4/24, Sundays 10:30-12:00 noon at Wood
End. Again, to keep costs down we will be taking a time slot after
the FORR soccer and FORR basketball sessions. The format will be the
same: 1) warm-up/practice + 2) small-sided scrimmage with a focus on
friendly fun and skills improvement.

Please spread the word--I know some players weren't able to drag their
carcasses out of bed at 6:30AM but they may be able to get to a
10:30AM session with sufficient coffee. It's also possible some
haven't signed up for this google group yet.

Can you please RSVP to this thread if you plan to sign-up? This year
we are collecting an up front payment for the whole season rather than
using the "pay as you go" system we had last year. To register and
hold your place I need your check for $100 written to me "Brian C.
Wadell" and note it is for "RASLG Indoor Soccer." (We are too small
for a bank account, and we are not part of FORR) The sign-ups close
10/2/2010 (we can't participate if we don't cover our part of the gym
fees and if we oversubscribe I'll need to get additional space).

Outdoor soccer will continue Saturday mornings until the weather makes
it impractical so you can get in two RASLG games/week. In the past
that has been around Thanksgiving.

Right now we are limited to full season signups and we will have to close signups once full. This is because of FORR. If we get enough signups/checks we can break away from FORR and do anything financially feasible.

The cheque is out the door! Look forward to the season. I have had an excellent summer of hiking and running. But the climbing trip to the North Cascades was a failure due to 6 days of rain. But did get to the summit of Mt. St. Helens.
