One bug killed and one old one persists

I haven't manage to reproduce the already stared bug all week, seems to have been killed, thanks.

The old one, where u refresh a tag (panel 2) and counter doesn't update , until 1 is refreshed, is still there, nagging me. :-)

Sometime during 1.6.x I had put a smart background update of all the
unread counts. That was making sure that the unread counts you see on
1st screen were up-to-date. However that particular thread was leading
to crashes, so I removed it after couple of releases. I will visit
that part again sometime.
