Planning on implementing multitouch with 2.0 API (like the one available on cyanogenmod) ?

Right now, any Android dev has to support 3 releases (with nexus one
4) - 1.5, 1.6, 2.0, 2.1 So if I have to use a 2.0 specific API, I will
have to discontinue support of 1.5/1.6 OR maintain separate versions
OR master some super hacks. None of the options seem feasible right
now.

But as most of the world moves on to 2.0, I will consider MT.

Suggestions are welcome however, as to how MT can improve ReaderScope usability.
