Latest RC is using Scala 3.6.x, the Scala compiler team recommends that library maintainers use LTS instead of the Next which is 3.3.6 as of writing (I believe a new LTS is expected to drop close to the end of the year or next year). Moving to Next forces users to upgrade to latest scala which can create a lot of noise depending on which compiler flags they have enabled.
