I think the Zerohour world builder is a lot smoother for me any how and some of the new icon's on the tool bar make it so much easier i just finished a map for Zerohour when i got the game on wedensday its called Hammer&Sickle Snow u guys shuld be able to get it on this site if it has been accepted by the moderators :? its worth a try i put a lot of effort into it and i hope u guys think its good to cus i liek this site so much i want it only to be availible for download here! on cncnz.com
I think i might boot up wb now and see if its better. does anyone no how to stop it autosaving, thats what crashes mine, when there are three files in my data, it crashes so i have to delete them every so often. thank to sonic for findin that for me.
I am truely so sorry sonic and to any 1 who downloaded the map not being able to use the new Zerohour generals! i however have ow fixed this in the new v1.1 and tested everything worked ok i have uploaded the new version to the site it is compatable with zerohour and all zerohour features are available on the map
thanks... got it to work. now I'm trying to figure out how to edit the skirmish AI... i noticed a skirmish.scb in the Data/Scripts folder but when i import it, it comes out all scrambled. the China AI goes into the GLA player, etc... know how to fix this? or know of any sites which have complete AI scripts?
Sonic, yes, the ZH AI is better but I've made some custom maps with lots of resources and as a result, the human players are better equipped to defend themselves and the current AI only sends small attack teams. i want to change this to send larger attack waves.
unfortunately in ZH, when i did the same thing, it came in all messed up (China AI went into the GLA player, GLA into USA etc) and some scripts actually turned up invisible (they were active but didn't show up in Worldbuilder)... so that has frustrated me.
Too add the default ZH AI, all you have to do is load up the map in worldbuilder, click EDIT, click EDIT PLAYER LIST, click ADD SKIRMISH PLAYERS at the bottom, click OK. Save the map, and fire it up.
I started on my own AI with Generals. The problem is (I think not really sure) once you've created one script (doesn't matter for which player) the AI won't use the standard AI anymore. THis means you have to create scripts for anything  for ALL players
This is also the problem you'll encouter when you import RVMECH's AHAI cause it's designed for Generals. It will give AI to the standard Sides only not the Generals. And it will not use any of the new types of units and structures...so for the moment it's better to use the standard AI
Hello,
I hope someone can help me with this soon.
My problem is, I have a bunch of maps downloaded and added to my C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps folder and am not able to see them in my Multiplayer map list. I see them in Skirmish game setup, just not Multiplayer. A friend that I play with downloaded the same maps, but he can see them in his multiplayer map list and skirmish.
For a less caring person, one could just have the friend make the game, but I care about how things should work. If my friend can see the maps in MP and Skirmish, so should I. I would like to figure this out and have already spent a couple hours trying to find differences in my files and those of my friends' files.
Both mine and my friends PC's are Windows 7.
Any help to solving this would be very appreciated, cause google is not being helpful, thanks.
I knew i forgot to mention something. They do not show up in the Unofficial tab. Like I did say however, they show up in Skirmish. But in multiplayer, The only maps that show up in the map list are the Tourny maps up to 4 players max.
I had my friend send me his Map Folder and i used that to replace my Map Folder. What ever happened, it works now. Some file in mine wasnt allowing the maps to be played in MP. But replacing the whole Map Folder worked.
