La Minería Artesanal y de Pequeña Escala de Oro (MAPE) es la mayor fuente de contaminación por mercurio a nivel mundial, afectando gravemente a los ríos y a las comunidades indígenas en Sudamérica. En este evento se presentarán nuevas investigaciones, testimonios indígenas y propuestas de acción de cara a la COP6 del Convenio de Minamata y al Foro Permanente de Cuestiones Indígenas de la ONU.
