"Last Minute" Booking

Hey, first time post. Just emailed Salvador about a room for my wife
and I for a week in the middle of June. I emailed him last night and
exchanged a couple of emails today (Saturday) and was told I'd have a
confirmation number withing 24-48 hours. After reading some threads on
here I was doubtful of our chances for this June but I was impressed
with the rapid response and am I to take that as there is indeed
availability? I should note that this is my first time booking as a
member. This group has some good info compared to a somewhat vague
website.

I never had a problem booking and getting cont quickly...have fun on your trip...yes there is availability u have conf# on your room : ) I ALWAYS print it out and bring it!

couple days and we're REALLY EXCITED. First time as members and last
year we were tucked away in the very back of caracol so we're looking
forward to being next to the beach in the smaller resort.

We were told that Playacar was smaller than Caracol. I know they're
both huge but we don't have any children and Playacar was recommended
to us over Caracol.

Caracol has an adult section as well.., also an all day a la carte.. at the adults only select club pool..

We are thinking of trying caracol again but still not sure..might do one week there one week playacar....had a bad experience at caracol and only stayed 2 days....can anyone tell me why they prefer caracol over playacar...we dont have kids yet so waterpark wont be used :)

If you are a beach bum like me, you can NOT get any better than
Playacar including being the last resort on one end of the beach.
Caracol's beach is smaller and much rockier in my opinion.

We have always stayed at Playacar and last april we decided to spend one day at Caracol to check it out. We had a great time there but that is all we needed was one day. I would do another day trip there but probably would not book a weeks vacation there. We had 3 other couples with us and they all had fun there but they also stated that they enjoyed Playacar more. I guess it depends on your taste because they are 2 totally different resorts. I must admit that the restaurant at the members/select club only section at Caracol serves some of the best shrimp I have ever had. Yummmmm!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so right that it is a matter of preference. Stayed @ Playacar 8 times before the new suites were done @ Caracol, and now hooked HA HA.. We are doing 6 nights @ Playacar and 9 @ Caracol in Nov.
