OK, re-read your emails. So, server on Ubuntu in a VM?

RDV running on Windows native. Hmm.

I can't think of any reason why this'd be failing. The only thing
unusual is that VMware (or similar) do insert a software-emulated
network card and stack in the middle; that's all I've got offhand.
I'll cc the RDV list to see if anyone else has an idea.
