Affiliate Program Question

Hello - as an IOS developer I'm interesting in taking part in the affiliate program.  After some coding and testing I think I've got a solution that works via a call to linkshare's deep linking tool and produces a URL.  

I have two specific questions based on the implementation of Rdio's website on IOS.

1.)  Whenever I send a user to rdio.com on an iPad or iPhone they get prompted to download the app rather than going to a signup page.  My question is simple - if I am to aim to make a % on signup (based on cookies) how is this possible if a user can't signup for the service via the native mobile browser?  Are there other options?  

2.)  I'd also like to provide "buy" links for Rdio cuts using the same method but whenever I send a user to a link on a mobile device (where they have in fact heard the song as a result of using my app) they get prompted to open Rdio or Install it - again I'm not sure how cookies help me here.

Can anyone suggest something I'm missing?

hey Andrew, I am implementing something similar. how did you go about setting up your  files and folders in xcode for this feature?

Hi Piyush,

I'm not sure I understand the question - I needed to code something custom in order to accomplish this (sorry nothing out of the box for this that I know about).

Basically:

1.)  A URL call to linkshare so that I can generate a "deep" link based on a Song ID.

2.)  Use of the generated link in the app after this is up to you...

I wouldn't (at this point) spend time on this as currently there is no way (on Safari) for you to make any money with the affiliate program (any link simply takes you to the Rdio App regardless of linkshare usage).
