Remove Older Than

Hi Patrik,

First off, long time rdiff-web user (from the Josh Nisly days!) and I truly love what you've done with the app. Thank you so much for all your work!!

I have a question:

I currently use cron jobs to clean up backups older than a certain date. If I use the Remove Older setting on the web interface, does that mean I can remove my cron jobs?

Definitely, rdiffweb server is running a cron job daily to run a remove-older job on each repository according to the setting you have chosen. That allows you to define the retention period individually for each repository.

Hello Lucas,

By default, the job run everyday at 11PM. 

First, Make sure to have an updated version of Rdiffweb. If you could provide the version number that would be great. Execute `rdiffweb --version` or using the web interface go to Administration Area > System Info

Second, check your log around 11PM make sure the scheduler is starting the job. You should have a line similar to: .. Running job "RemoveOlder.remove_older_job...
