Scientific Storytelling” -Scientific Journalism Training- deadline: 20th February 2019
The project “Scientific Storytelling” is a cooperation between the Goethe-Institute Cairo and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD); it was established in 2017.
The goal of the project is to foster the relationship between science on one hand and journalism on the other hand, in order to support the transfer of knowledge to a broader public and to enhance the general response to the achievements of researchers from all disciplines.
In the realm of this project, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Goethe-Institute Cairo organize a two-day workshop for about 15 scientists and researchers who are running German-Egyptian cooperation projects. The aim of the workshop is to train scientists how to pitch their studies or results towards journalists so that they are interested in covering the story, how to market scientific projects and how to interact and attract the younger generation in particular.
Eligible candidates are DAAD alumni and Egyptian scientists who have running projects or completed projects within the last three years in cooperation with German universities.
