We've just released RDFLib 4.0 - and it's the best RDFLib release so far!

We now have:

* SPARLQL 1.1 support
* RDFa/MicroData support (actually already in 3.4)
* SPARQL(Update)Store integrated in core

* Massively overhauled documentation: https://rdflib.readthedocs.org/

And many other changes!

Please see the CHANGELOG for the full details:

https://github.com/RDFLib/rdflib/blob/4.0/CHANGELOG.md

Many thanks to Graham Higgins who did all the re-integration work, to
Ivan Herman for the RDF1.1 code and the continued RDFa/MicroData work,
and to everyone else who tested, filed issued and otherwise
contributed!

As usual, install with easy_install / pip / or download from pypi or github:

https://pypi.python.org/pypi/rdflib
https://github.com/RDFLib/rdflib/archive/4.0.zip

Report any bugs at:

https://github.com/RDFLib/rdflib/issues

And enjoy your new and improved RDFLib!

- Gunnar

Gunnar Aastrand Grimnes for the SPARQL 1.1 implementation and for a huge
effort in pulling all the strands together to form this very fine
release, as the commit log so eloquently testifies.

Serious props to Gunnar for his solid technical leadership on this one.

(Maybe we should create an abstract "RDFLib team" entity to make these
postings, then we can give the proper credit to all contributors.)

Cheers,

If you login to the web-interface to google groups and you are a list
admin you can actually post AS rdflib-dev - I did intend to do this
for the release notification, but forgot.
I probably wouldn't have thanked myself in third person in any case though :)

Thanks! How about an update to rdflib-jsonld and we'll call it quits? ;)

Congratulations!

Thanks for this great library and the enormous effort you all have put into it. It was astounding from time to time to see commits coming in like raindrops falling on the floor. I like RDFLib especially because the code is so nice to work with. Except for my own ones, this is the first project I actually have contributed some code to, even if it was mostly one-liners. It was always a pleasure.

As usual, some annoying bugs snuck into 4.0 - I've just released 4.0.1
fixing these :)
