hi to all!

is there a patch, or is development scheduled to enable some sort of client-side scaling of rdesktop connections???

to explain it better, now i'm using  an hidpi monitor, and when connecting to remote desktops, they are so tiiiiiiny (and nice, true, but anyway tiny)

(i'm currently workarounding it by scaling either the remote servers or connecting from another X server on this machine...)

if it's not going under such development, do any of you have some advise to where start trying to hack it into the code???
(i tried to doublescale forcibly but without success, before trying to go further i'd like some hint by core deveopers ;P)

bye, thanx

There is a pull request [1] upstream for handling DPI for proper scaling.
I have not had time to look into it, please do join github and start
collaborate on the PR.

yes, i tried that patch/branch
sadly, it's as useful as the so-called "scaling" option in microsoft's rdesktop, that is, totally useless.
not your fault, obviously, but it works only against very recent terminalservers, and is completely useless, since it doesn't really scale up the desktop, but changes settings on the server side, which is yet worse, if possible...

that branch is working as expected, though, but i could try only against one server, so i don't even confirm that's working at 100%...
sorry

do you think is possible to -and at which point in rdesktop sources- insert a scaling function between server and client rendering?
