Very quick brainstorm, please excuse anything that doesn't make a ton of sense!
--Motorcycle/Biker gang theme
More of a costume/common thread than storytelling theme (similar to Galing Cru's . Costumes could be girls in fake leather leggings, fake leather jackets, guys with chains hanging from their denim, fingerless gloves, boots etc. Maybe start off with hearing engines revving.. Basically us looking and being bad ass with motorcycle sounds incorporated.
--I liked Beverly's royalty theme. I actually had a very similar idea but then thought of Royal Family and was a little worried about it. We could have an awesome throne prop and do lots of cool, fierce things.
--NYC Subway: create a subway scene and have one person who is listening to headphones and the music gets louder and louder and people slowly start joining in to dance (maybe they're listening to New York by Alicia Keys or the song Empire State of Mind) Doors open and a voiceover says "You've arrived at Grand Central Station" and the song changes. Maybe a different song for each stop? Maybe on the upper east side there's a fierce/snobby piece, Brooklyn we can do a jay z song, Bronx hit them with some J Lo, Queens some 50 Cent etc. etc. and then some sort of closer
-- Alien Invasion set that is based off a popular movie like Men In Black (haven't seen one of those in a while: aliens good be pretty cool creatures in general to encompass and costumes could be really cool to figure out. Aliens can be creepy, sexy, wreaking chaos etc.and choreography can really play off the characters if done right. Could be half alien/half every day people. Would need to be smart about casting pieces Bold transitions and visuals!)
--Avatar set---similar concept as above, just Avatar
-- Hunger Games: Katniss with her bow and arrow & volunteers as tribute (stage kinda divided to show people watching it on TV and people there), all of the tributes training, Pieces include a fancy "Capital" scene to contrast the wealthy with the poor, high energy piece of the actual games, mockingbird/hopeful closer. Final noise is the mockingbird sound with everyone raising their hands up in the symbol. Overall set should be intense, athletic and fun
--"Once Upon a Time" A set about fairytales. Either each piece is a different fairytale or we could tell the story of one fairytale/fairytale gone bad.
--Diary Set: Do voiceovers where we're going through the pages of one person's diary and each song relates to what they experienced. We can create any story around that we want. (might be a little corny, depending on the direction. I think for this to be effective it would need to be a super tragic or dramatic event
