Hey guys,

I have a network of 6469 nodes and 62146 edges, these nodes are gene names from around 50 plant species, I want to color them into different colors, it's not so convenient to use vizmapper and choose colors one by one.
So I was wondering how can I use R to write some commands and give nodes from same species a color code. I have already prepared the color codes but don't know how can I map these colors to the nodes based on their node attributes.

Thank you very much!!

Happy 2015.

Hi Tao,

May I ask you to go the extra trouble of posting this to the Bioconductor support list? That's where the RCytoscape package is maintained and discussed:

Thanks!
