The Board of Adjustment will most likely make their final decision on
the proposal for an exception that would allow Proppant to mine sand
on the property adjacent to Hoffman Hills on December 18. The meeting
is scheduled to begin at 5pm at the Judicial Center. Although there
will be no new testimony accepted, your presence at the meeting will
re-affirm your opposition to the proposal.
From DCN 12/3/2007:
Juliet Fox, chair of the BOA, declared that the public testimony
portion of the meeting was closed shortly before 11 p.m. Monday.
"I think we have enough evidence," Fox said.
At the next meeting, BOA members will hear rebuttal from
representatives for Proppant Specialists and will be able to ask
questions of company representatives.
At that point, the public hearing will be closed, and the BOA will
deliberate on the special exception, Fox said.
In the meantime, BOA members will not accept any additional written
information or other contact from those who testified, including
representatives from Proppant.
Next meeting
The next BOA meeting concerning the Proppant application is scheduled
for Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 5 p.m. in the multi-purpose room at the
Dunn County Judicial Center on Stokke Parkway.
