NEWSFLASH – June 22nd 2009
In a shock move, the Funky Tank Foundry and the Chelmsford Challenger
Crew (C3), seemingly both divisions of the King's Own Regiment have
turned against each other. The C3, who seem to be able to produce
anything, although not very quickly, are outraged at the ability of the
Funky Tank Foundry's ability to produce fully mobile tanks in just a
couple of months. These two powerhouses have found themselves locked in
conflict, arguing over technologies and designs. After negotiations
broke down in early 2009, the two rival factions have been eager to
engage in full scale war. Finances have proved to be the greatest
problem for the C3, which seemingly seems to be no issue for the Funky
Tank Foundry. If the C3 can win the battle, the Funky Tank Foundry will
bow to the superior technical knowledge of the Crew, and assist them,
but were the Funky Tank Foundry to win, the Crew would be severely
demoralised.
It is rumoured that the Foundry have paid an unknown sum of money into a
Belgian bank account, with the promise of assistance. This seems like a
ploy to involve international divisions in the politics of the UK
divisions. The suspected organisation called on for assistance was
unavailable for comment.
On July 11th and 12th, the two organisations will collide on the same
site as twice before. Only then can the two factions settle their
differences.

NEWSFLASH UPDATE
In a shock move, it is reported that forces are massing around the
famous Chelmsford Castle.

(Which is a rather roundabout way of saying that I finally tried the
hot glue gun on the insulation board of the castle and it worked a
treat, so the "self-dismantling" castle is back in action.

once it's gone, it's gone into the big bad Internet never to be seen again...

Frank may be able to pull it from the web archive, but anyone who is on the list and has realtime emails switched on has it now and forever...muahahahaha

WHOOPS! I'd appreciate it if people ignore that email.

Frank: I appear to have been able to publish my phone number! It'd be
helpful if you could pull that message!

There are plenty of pictures of the castle in the October Revolution
battle photos:

http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/cjsoftuk/RCTC%20-%20October%2019th/

It is made of spare insulation board (I was insulating a shed);
paintballs sink in and it won't last for ever, but who cares? It's
very light to carry.

The paint was sourced and hand-mixed at great expense to be the exact
same colour as Castel Gaasbeek in Belgium. Curiously it was exactly
like some paint I had left over from painting the bedroom walls...

If you want to see it self-dismantle, fire a paintball at it!

I have just built a ruined cottage as additional scenery. It is made
of 12mm ply so is considerably stronger than the castle, and indeed
the tanks. Oh, the irony....

Never?
Might break it to build something else.
Might sell it for parts.
Might burn it on a pyre dedicated to some strange, pagan god.
Really the options are limitless.

I have confidence that Pete will pull this one out of the bag and have (hopefully To71) fully operational and show us all to be the missguided doubters we are .
