With the end of the school year comes a renewed emphasis on making a living. I have a shop, and fully intend to equip it and use it. Whether producing 1:6/1:8 scale parts and tanks is a hobby business or a proper living is yet to be determined though, and input is needed.

I'm planning to stream a design session, probably Friday night, 5 or 6. Is that going to be far enough out, or should I plan for another day and time? It's be nice to get a bunch of people on there, have some good chats, and get some good input on the new company in town.

Just a suggestion or two, but 5 to 6 in which time zone?

Also, many of us are cooking dinner and/or fighting traffic then.

Better start looking at real jobs because there is no "proper living" in the burgeoning field of r/c tank combat (at least not yet ;-).  What is it you wish to accomplish with your design session?

I'm pretty sure it'll end up a weekend business, but we'll see. I'm looking at a few things for the 1/16 scale community as well.

The build session is to gauge interest, get ideas, show off my build at present, and in general have a good time.

I'll be putting it up on the rc tank Facebook community too, should be a lot interested from there. Problem is too early and you catch people at work or commuting as mentioned, or having dinner, and later means you end up with people in bed or such--trying to get the British contingent in would add to the mess.

I know artists who stream their work, which is part of the inspiration, and they'll stay on for hours at a time, so I can probably get most people over an evening. It's just a matter of maximizing statistics.
