i haven't read the article yet to see if it says anything more other than the caption under the picture, but will try to get to it later tonight.........

while food shopping yesterday as i was leaving i passed the front counter and grabbed one of the free, local magazines "Alleghenies Adventures" and figured i'd look through it later sometime when i had some time.

so today mom and I went out to s few stores, some for me, some for here, so i grabbed a copy of the magazine and told her to read it while i was running around in the stores. so as soon as i got back into the truck after the first stop, mom passed the magazine to me pointing to the picture of a paintball and read it's caption, "Combatants" use corn starch filled paint balls. no i have no idea as to the chemical make-up of a paint ball, i just know it has a non-candy coated shell and isn't filled with creamy, milk chocolate but do know they can hurt and leave a colorful mark (and that's not always including the enclosed paint).

the article is on 3 pages but will scan in all 4 pages and post afterwards as an attached file for anyone that might be interested in what ever they might have to say (again, i don't know what the text has in it other than paint ball).

anyway, i wasn't aware of "Corn Starch" filled paint balls

okay, read the article, and it was partly about how a guy bought/rented (it didn't really say) a building and started indoor paintball games.

i saw nothing else on the corn starch filled paint ball ........

but what i did see is there is a few outdoor parks, one is maybe 20 minutes from here (don't know where the other 2 are yet) in Ebinsburg and also see Urban Warzone also has about 26 acres near Chimney Rock (also about 20 minutes from here).

I scanned the article but didn't think too many would be interested in reading, but if someone wants, i can still email the file

From paintballfunontherun.com:

What is a Paintball?

A paintball is mostly a .68-caliber gelatin ball. It is filled with cornstarch, food coloring, and mineral oil. Paintballs are non-toxic and biodegradable. Paintballs come in all colors of the rainbow. Such as green, black, pink, yellow, and many more.

thank you - never knew corn starch was a part of it (guess there wouldn't be any goo if there wasn't)
