A little late with the Happy T-day, but never too late to show some soaring spirit! Yesterday was an unusually nice day in Chicagoland and I convince my father to come watch his grandkid try some R/C flying.
My brother who has never touched a transmitter was soloing (take off and landing) after less than hour of instructions. He managed to catch a few thermals and we ended up losing sight of the plane in the sun for a good 20-30 seconds. I also managed to get my father some stick time, and he too was able to core a thermal though we can see he was very nervous (thumbs shaking) in front of all us haha.
That Radian is one heck of a model to learn on! Signals lift quite well and cores very nicely. We just need to add some orange and black trim colors and should be set to take on other nature again!
Here are some pictures for proof:

We were scheduled to try it again this morning, but the weather is not as cooperative.
Thanks to many on here and RCG for the info that lead to me getting one for my nephew!!!
