RCQ Walk on coming Sunday, 10 May

Dear RCQ Members and Friends,

 

Please join us for our next Rotary Club of Queenstown monthly walk on Sunday, 10 May from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve to Turf City.  We will meet at Southaven 1 Condominium, 43 Hindhede Walk, S587973 at 5pm.  Following the “Kampung Trail”, we will reach Murnane Water Service Reservoir and then continue down Jalan Kampong Chantek, from where we will take a shortcut along the water pipeline directly into Turf City.  The walk is about 4 km and should not take more than 1 hour.  Bring along some mosquito repellent and good shoes.  Depending on weather condition, the path may be a bit muddy.  It’s an easy walk also suitable for children.

 

Turf City has a variety of restaurants to enjoy dinner and drinks together. 

 

Turf City offers a free shuttle bus service to Clementi MRT Station.

 

Those with a car have two options:

Either park at the Turf City car park and walk 10 minutes down Turf Club Road to the bus stop along Bukit Timah Road, located in front of OCBC Bank.  Board bus no. 67, 170, 171, 852 or 961 and alight at Upper Bukit Timah Road – Wah Hup Building (8 stops later – just after the Esso Service Station).  Take the pedestrian overhead bridge and continue about 300m on the other side of Upper Bukit Timah Road in direction Woodlands until you reach a pathway between Southaven 2 and Springdale Condominium.  At the end of this pathway is Hindhede Walk where you turn right and enter Southaven 1 at the next guardhouse.  It’s about a 10 minutes’ walk from the bus stop to Southaven 1.

 

Alternatively, park your car at the guest car park of Southaven 1 and after the walk take the bus back to collect your car.

 

In case of inclined weather, we will meet for dinner at the Turf Club.
