Take action. Make an impact. Help end polio.

How will your club make an impact this World Polio Day?

Alpana,

Thanks to Rotary leaders like you, Rotary has made tremendous progress in the fight to end polio. With your help, we’ve reduced worldwide cases by 99.9 percent since 1988. We still have important work to do to address challenges in Afghanistan and Pakistan — the remaining countries where the wild poliovirus continues to paralyze children.

On this World Polio Day, 24 October, thousands of Rotary clubs around the world will hold events and fundraisers to recognize our progress in the global fight to end polio. Here are a few ways you can make an impact:
  • Raise awareness: Watch 5 Ways to End Polio with your club to learn more about the importance of ending polio and what you can do to help End Polio Now.
  • Start a conversation: Like our End Polio Now Facebook page for polio updates and live events, and create a Facebook fundraiser to help us End Polio Now.
  • Host an event: This World Polio Day, you can host an event, attend a local event, or tune in to our World Polio Day Online Global Update.
  • Fundraise: Emphasize that thanks to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, contributions from your members to PolioPlus will be tripled, getting us even closer to a polio-free world.
World Polio Day is a time for Rotary members all over the world to gather, recognize our progress, and get ready to eradicate polio. However your club contributes this World Polio Day, we appreciate your leadership in taking action to help End Polio Now.
