Greeting from Foundation District Team!! Hope you are enjoying your presidential year.
Almost half of the year has passed, and its time for us to focus on Donations to Foundation. During PETS and PrePETS we all had pledged to create our legacy and do at least 10% more than whatever highest donations our own club has given to Foundation so far.
Your Club is one of the committed clubs in district and have been donating to TRF. For your ready records, your club’s total contribution in RY 2017/18 was US$ 16997.97, and in RY 2018/19 (that’s last year) it was US$ 11394.73. We need to do higher than that and make a mark of your leadership on years to come.
Foundation Giving records on rotary.org shows that your club has given US$ 1408.5, in current year till December 10, 2019. With more than six months in hand, I am sure you and your club will surpass the goal of “at least 10% higher than highest contribution of your club” in this year.
I also take this opportunity to request you to – 1) Contact me or TRF team for any support. We are keen to meet any prospective member donors, 2) Keep me posted about your club’s donations. My office is more than happy to process the payments, if required. It will help us to track their realisation and you getting credit, and 3) meet if you want to discuss, brain storm on how we achieve this.
Lastly, I also would like to request you to take advantage of our scheme of TRF Outreach to Non Rotarians. We all have so many contacts (friends, acquaintances, relatives, neighbours, business contacts) and many will give a small sum on your and your members’ request. Especially if we show projects that Foundation has done in our district. They will get a certificate or placard based on value of donation (starting from Rs 1000) and your club will get Foundation giving credit (Annual Fund). Please grant us 5 minutes in your club meeting to announce the scheme, show samples of recognitions and motivate your members.
