Summary:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the setup,
maintenance and administration of the network infrastructure to
include servers, network equipment, telecommunications infrastructure,
desktop PCs and software applications.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage & troubleshoot networks, intranet & internet connectivity
throughout the organization
Evaluate, test, and deploy all software and hardware upgrades to the
server infrastructure
Proactive monitoring of all servers, applications and services using a
combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLAs
Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries
Assist in developing, implementing, testing and maintaining server
level disaster recovery plans
Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes
Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT
infrastructures
Rigorously create and maintain documentation for all processes and
procedures
Qualifications/Skills:
Must possess current MCSE certificate
Minimum five years experience with Windows Server platforms with an
emphasis on Active Directory
Expert knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with
Cisco routers & switches, Internet firewalls, external DNS and
wireless configurations
Some experience setting up and managing database systems such as SQL
Server
Experience setting up and managing Linux platforms in a production
environment
Background supporting telephone systems
Proven ability to develop designs that incorporate high availability,
operations supportability and scalability
Experience in Load-balancing/DNS/multicasting
Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills
Strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work
independently
Must possess above average organization skills, excellent
communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills
Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a willingness to learn
CCIE/CCDP certifications a plus
