Grassroots Grants - NOTICE OF REVISED CRITERIA

The income threshold for groups applying to Grassroots Grants has now
increased from £20,000 to £30,000 per year or an average of £30,000
over the last 3 years/ life of the group.

For those groups based in London, there is still funding available in
Bromley, Bexley, Camden, Greenwich, Lewisham, Westminster, and
Kensington & Chelsea in this financial year. Capital Community
Foundation are actively encouraging applications in these boroughs, to
be received as soon as possible and ideally no later than 6 March
2009. Applications from Lambeth and Southwark may be considered from
March onwards.

Grassroots Grants offer grants of up to £5,000 to small community
groups and charitable organisations delivering a wide range of
activities.

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

Groups with an annual income of under £30,000 (this can be taken as an
average income over the last 3 years, or life of the group to date)
Please see the guidelines for further details.

Groups that have been active in the community for at least 12 months
prior to application (If you have been holding activities for at
least 12 months, but have only just been constituted, you are eligible
to apply)
Groups meeting one of the 4 main aims of the fund: Strengthening
Communities; Bringing People from Different Backgrounds Together;
Responding to Local Need; Strengthening organisational capacity and
ability

Community groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest
companies are all eligible to apply.
