Following consultation on the distribution of National Lottery
funding, Sport England will be developing four new funding streams for
community sports. Full details of the application processes and award
eligibility criteria for these new programmes will be published at the
start of 2009. The programmes will be in place by 1 April 2009.
At this point, the Community Investment Fund will close: Sport England
will continue to accept CIF applications up to and including 6 January
2009, subject to the availability of funds in each region.
