In case the weather doesn't suck...
I just discovered this today, and apparently I'm about 3 years behind
the curve, so this may no longer be in any way cool or interesting :-)
But for any XKCD fans out there, have you ever gone Geohashing?

I haven't done the math carefully myself, but it looks like (once you
fix what seems like an off-by-one problem in the map lookup tool)
Saturday's spot is less than a half hour by car from Bryant Pond.
Just a thought.

Just be prepared for the fact that data connectivity is minimal at the
site. I stopped by yesterday, and my AT&T iPhone only had edge
connectivity. Loading up maps is probably going to be an exercise in
frustration.
