I have brought up the same complaint. We are not allowed the prices that are advertised on the website under the Braemar link for premium channels. I think this needs to change.
I’m still waiting for that increase in internet speed for a reasonable price as well!

Hi Tina, I can’t remember her name, but I have her direct phone number on my caller ID (301)531-7827. I would call the main customer service before calling her. Andrey- that is the exact package I got and she told me that she was activating it for all Braemar residents..that we are eligible for everything that they advertise. Thanks,
Megin

This is very interesting. I have had the same experience as you did with the premium channels and am currently paying higher prices than shown on the website!! Are you able to share this manager's name? We've been paying the higher prices for far too long.

Thank you to whoever contacted RCN. I received a call today from a manager and she told me that Braemar was INDEED eligible for all packages advertised on their website. They have fixed the glitch in their system. Happy New Year everyone!Megin

After a probably 45 minute phone call, I was told that because we are braemar residents, they cannot contractually offer me that deal. The CSR was very nice, and very apologetic..but I feel like that is a bait and switch advertisement, and am not happy with RCN right now. If it’s not offered for braemar residents..then have your link go to different pricing!Thank you,Megin McRae

Hi Andrey
I just checked my past emails on this. We received an upgrade to 15MB quite awhile ago. If you have only 15MB, you should not be charged anything. This is included in your HOA fee. It sounds like RCN owes you a refund. I’m not sure exactly when that upgrade occurred, but I think it was very late 2012 or early 2013.
Megin,
I want to thank you again for sharing your experience with us. I just had a very successful call with Frank at RCN, who successfully applied all of the website prices to my premium channels. I now have more channels and am paying $16 less per month! Fantastic!
I recommend everyone check the website for premium channel prices and call to have the website prices applied.

Sharon A.: Unfortunatley, I cannot add the Premiere Total for $12.99. It is because of the agreement your building has with RCN.
Sharon A.: The Signature (full basic cable) is a Bulk rate so add ons cannot get the promotions you see on our website.

I would like to propose for our Tech committee to publish updates from RCN in some central location like
www.braemarhoa.com/
for example I pay for Service 15Mb/2Mb ..$9.95
And I don't have place to check if it is correct for Breamar or this is default speed with no charge??
I cannot relay on RCN rep -looks like they don't know all details ....
Great finding Megin!

To: megin...@yahoo.comI will call the main number to change my package first. I am currently paying $21 for Showtime and was quoted $11.95 for Starz. My last attempt at better prices was only a month ago.
Thank you Megin!! :)

Hi Paul,
The price offerings I changed this morning were only premium movie channel packages (HBO, MAX, TMC, STARZ, SHO). Braemar already has set rates for the regular cable channel packages, which are paid by our HOA fees.
Darren, you should be getting 25MB for $20. That is the rate and speed I’ve had for the past year.

Thanks Andrey. I didn’t realize the we had multiple packages out there by area. The prices I quoted were for Tartan Hills.

I checked my RCN bill online for December, since I am paperless and it states I should have 25bm down and 2mb up. For reference I do pay $20.00 above the HOA fees for it. My history over a year has shown the same speed so I have not been given an upgrade on speed unless it shows up on the January invoice.
