TODAY IS DAY 4

 

Blood Drive:
The National Honor Society is sponsoring a blood drive on Wednesday,  May 22.  RCK is New York State's largest blood drive. Please give. Your donation will help many people who are ill and in need of blood. Sign up any period in front of guidance. You must be 16 years old to donate. All donors will receive a free t-shirt from the Red Cross.

National Honor Society:
Any recently inducted juniors interested in applying for a position next year as an officer, please write a paragraph about why you think we should choose you for the job and give the paragraph to Ms. Sutton in room 206 or Ms. Murray in room 201 by Wednesday, May 22.

 

GUIDANCE:  The Dutchess County Counseling Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior

Stop in guidance for eligibility and application.  The deadline is May 17th.

 

There are two new scholarships available in guidance:  the Sheafe Road Scholarship and Price Chopper Scholarship-deadlines are soon!  Stop in guidance for applications and information.

 

The Wappingers Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship has been extended to May17th.

The $500 scholarship is awarded to a FEMALE GRADUATING SENIOR who  participates in community service.

 

SENIOR CLASS:  Senior Prom tickets are on sale for $85.00.  Tickets are on sale all lunch periods.  See Ms. McMillan, Mr. Rifenburg or any senior officer if you have any questions.

 

Jostens will be here TODAY in the cafeteria, all lunch periods.  It will be the last chance to order a cap and gown.

 

MR. BRISKEY:  All students planning to take DCC English next year are to meet in the LGI period 4 on Thursday, May 30th.  Students will receive their summer reading packets and Mr. Briskey will answer any questions. 

 

STUDENT COUNCIL:  Class elections will be held next week online.  Please see Mr. Guglieri to pick up your election packet.  You cannot be considered for any office unless a packet has been completed.  No exceptions.  Packets are available until Friday.

 

MASQUE AND MIME:  People going on NYC trip need to bring in train fare money-$10 this is for June 2.

Soon Banquet money will be due as well. $10 all-just $5 seniors.

Anyone who wishes to be inducted into ITS-must get in their money too, $24-made out to Masque and Mime.

 

MR. SEIPP’S OFFICE:  ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS- NO junior is permitted to park on school campus if you do not have a parking permit.  If you are found parking on campus you are going to jeopardize your privilege for your senior year.  There will be consequences for parking on school grounds.

 

The warnings have come and past for having ear buds out. As you can see we have been taking all ear buds.  Please make sure that you do not have your ear buds on or visible or they will be taken.

 

FOOTBALL: 

There will be a mandatory football meeting for all players attending the HSPD Camp TODAY at 2PM in the gym.

 

ATHLETIC PHYSICALS :

Athletic physical appointments are made on a first come-first serve basis and appointments are limited.  It is recommended that all required paperwork be turned in to the student’s Health Office 1 month prior to the beginning of the athletic season to ensure that all eligibility requirements can be satisfied for the student to participate when the athletic season begins.
